Travel/Set Up

Ready for an awesome week of high dives and hot springs? We are! After loading up on Archie, we'll head north to the fun town of Lava Hot Springs. Once we get there, we will check out our awesome campground, eat our sack lunches from home, and set-up camp.

Alpaca Ranch

After our busy morning, we will head over to check out an awesome alpaca ranch. We'll learn all about these amazing animals and take some cool pictures with our new furry friends. Then we'll make our way back to camp to get dinner ready. Hot dogs, hamburgers, and all the trimmings will fill our tummies before we settle around the fire to hang out with our travel camp friends. Then it's off to bed to rest up for our next busy day.

Lava Hot Springs

This morning we'll wake up to the smell of delicious french toast, sausage and fruit! After breakfast, we will make our way over to the Lava Hot Springs world-famous water park. This awesome water park features four water slides and five diving boards, including some really, really, tall diving boards. It also offers a speed slide you'll have to work up your courage to go down. They have a cool indoor pool with a rock climbing wall, basketball court, and hot tubs to relax in.

At lunch time, we'll have a yummy picnic lunch on the grass, or you can choose to spend some of your money at the awesome snack bar they have. We'll hang out here for the rest of the day until it is dinner-time, then we will pop back over to camp. There we'll feast on a great dinner of pasta with two kinds of sauce along with meatballs, green beans and, of course, topped with lots of parmesan cheese! Yum!

Zip Line/Ninja Course

Are you excited? If not, you should be, because today we get to be ninjas! Ok--not really, but we do get to zipline down mountains, climb geodomes, and navigate a ninja obstacle course. It doesn't get any better than this! We will have lunch at the zipline course and then once we are done, we'll head back to camp to change into our swim suits.

Lava Hot Pools

After we're all changed, we'll head over to the famous Lava hot pools. These pools are chock-full of minerals that will soothe your body and soul. We'll take a break for a dinner of soft tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and chips and salsa! Then anyone that still wants to soak can head back to the springs to relax under the stars while enjoying these steaming pools until bedtime.

Portneuf River Float

We will wake up this morning to a breakfast of pancakes, eggs, and orange juice--yum! After cleaning up, we'll head over to the Portneuf River, where we will pick up our rented tubes and get our life jackets on. Then we'll start our awesome float down the river. Though the float is short, it has some awesome mini-rapids and is tons of fun! After we hop out, we'll walk about ten minutes through town and then do it again! Chain rides, doubling up, and water fights...we could do this all day!

Once we are worn out from our river adventures, we'll eat our lunch at a park. After lunch, we will head back to camp to dry off and then head into town to get some ice cream and do a little souvenir shopping. While in town, we will check out the South Bannock Museum that has lots of local history and a free souvenir postcard to take home. After the museum, we will make our way over to the local pizza joint for some amazing cheesy pizza for dinner!

Take Down/Travel

After a quick breakfast of cereal, muffins, and juice, we will break down camp and head toward home. About half way home, we will hit the town of Honeyville, where we'll stop for a fun day at Utah's own amazing Crystal Hot Springs. This awesome place has hot and cool pools, hot and cold waterfalls to plunge under, and two fun tube water slides.

Crystal Hot Springs/Water Slides

We'll slide the day away until it's time to break for lunch. After a little more fun in the water, we will reluctantly jump back on the bus to head for home. What an amazing week filled with memories to last a lifetime!
